  Gary R. Carlson

  MD

  Dr. Carlson graduated cum laude from the University of Oregon Health Science Center as member of the Alpha Omega Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship at Providence Medical Center in Oregon. He then moved to Los Angeles to complete a residency at UCLA Medical Center. A board certified dermatologist, Dr. Carlson holds memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a former assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA. He is a partner in ownership of Dermatology Associates of Westlake Village.

  Randolph S. Capari

  MD

  Dr. Randolph Capri is a board certified dermatologist who has been in practice in Westlake Village since 1982. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1970 as valedictorian of his class. He was an officer in the U.S. Navy for the next four years and then entered medical school at the Oregon Health Science Center in 1974, graduating in 1978. He completed his dermatology residency at Union Medical Center in Albany New York in 1982. While in private practice, Dr. Capri was an assistant professor in the Dermatology Division at UCLA for 13 years. His practice is divided into general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and surgical dermatology including mohs surgery.

  Michael R. Bastein

  MD

  A graduate of the University of Southern California Medical School, Dr. Bastien completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, a dermatology residency at Medical College of Georgia under J. Graham Smith, Jr. and a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatological Society and past-president of the San Fernando Valley Dermatological Society. He has published numerous professional papers in his field. Dr. Bastien is Board Certified in his specialty and has special expertise in skin pathology and clinical dermatology with emphasis on diagnostics. His nonprofessional interests include travel and fishing.

  Thomas J. Kim

  MD

  Thomas J. Kim, MD, is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Thomas Kim grew up in Glendale, California and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of California at Los Angeles. After deciding to pursue a career in medicine, Dr. Kim received his medical degree at Chicago Medical School and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Kim returned to UCLA for his dermatology residency and served as Chief Resident his final year. As a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Kim treats a wide variety of skin conditions. He routinely performs surgical removal for several skin conditions, including non-melanoma skin cancer using the Mohs technique. At Dermatology Associates of Westlake, Dr. Kim performs cosmetic procedures such as Botox and filler injections, laser surgery, and microneedling. Additionally, he manages atypical moles, conducts skin exams, and addresses a variety of general dermatology issues. He has been with Dermatology Associates of Westlake since 2004 and enjoys the collegial nature of the practice. Dr. Kim lives in the Conejo Valley with his wife and two children and enjoys traveling, fishing, and rooting on his Bruins.

  Holly L. Rausch

  MD

  Dr. Holly Rausch was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from the University of Utah, magna cum laude, with a B.S. in biology, and continued her education at the University of Utah School of Medicine. While earning her medical degree, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After medical school, Dr. Rausch completed an internal medicine internship at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. She completed her dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at the Boston University School of Medicine affiliate, Roger Williams Medical Center. During her residency she served as chief dermatology resident for two years. Dr. Rausch is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology, and a member of the American Medical Association and the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Rausch specializes in skin cancer detection and treatment, and general medical dermatology. She is committed to providing her patients with the highest quality personalized dermatologic care.

  Jasmine Chaparian

  PA

  Jasmine Chaparian is a California licensed Physician Assistant specializing in general, surgical, cosmetic and laser dermatology. Jasmine completed her Bachelors Degree in the Health Sciences at SFSU, and graduated in 1991 Magna Cum Laude. In 1992, she was accepted at University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine, into the Primary Care Physician Assistant program. While in the program, Jasmine was trained by multiple specialists and surgeons in all aspects of medicine. She completed her internal medicine, pediatric medicine, urgent care and emergency training at LAC-USC County Hospital. She completed her surgical rotation at Yale School of Medicine in Norwalk Hospital, Connecticut. After rigorous training in the medical program, Jasmine graduated from the USC Physician Assistant program in 1994 and received her NCCPA National Board Certification with Honors and earned a Gold Seal in both general and surgical medicine. Jasmine’s passion and dream was to become a Dermatology Specialist. In 1994, she began her Dermatology preceptorship at Beverly Hills Dermatology Associates, where she was rigorously trained for 3 years in all aspects of dermatology, to include skin cancer screenings, skin cancer treatments, mole checks, surgical and cosmetic procedures. Jasmine was one of the first PAs in California, who helped set the standards and values for her profession, helping pave the road for many, who aspired to follow in her footsteps. She has mentored and trained many PA students and graduate PAs in all aspects of dermatology for the past 25 years of her career. In 1997, Jasmine was the first PA to join the fine group of physicians at Dermatology Associates of Westlake Village, a national training facility for Allergan, the makers of Botox and Juvederm. Jasmine is a certified injection trainer and speaker for both Allergan and Medicis, training other physicians, PAs and nurses in advanced Botox, fillers, lasers and other innovative cosmetic procedures. She is a promotional speaker and board advisor for different pharmaceutical companies. Jasmine attends and participates in numerous dermatology conferences for continuing medical education, and is passionate about keeping up-to-date with new advances in the field of dermatology. Jasmine’s skills, coupled with her advanced techniques and wide base of knowledge, has earned her the respect of the Dermatological Medical Community, and has developed a loyal patient following.   Amanda A. Jensen

  Amanda earned her undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University and completed physician assistant training at Western University, graduating with a masters of physician assistant studies degree in 2003. Amanda Jensen is board certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the State of California. Amanda enjoys all areas of dermatology including general, pediatric, surgical, and cosmetic & laser dermatology. Her particular interests include skin cancer screenings, surgical procedures, and cosmetics. Before joining Dermatology Associates of Westlake Village in 2004, Amanda spent one year in Nevada working at Las Vegas Skin & Cancer Center where her scope of practice included skin cancer treatment, mole evaluations and surgery, acne treatment, and other rare dermatologic conditions. Amanda frequently gives lectures on dermatology topics to physician’s assistants, nurses and physicians and is a promotional speaker for various pharmaceutical companies. She is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Physicians Assistants and remains highly active and current on dermatological trends by visiting multiple industry and corporate events around the U.S. throughout the year. Amanda and her husband enjoy snowmobiling and wine tasting. They live in Moorpark with their two children along with their two cats, Joey and Scooter.

  Yasi Currie

  PA-C

  Yasi Currie, MS, PA-C, is a board certified Physician Assistant that joined Dermatology Associates in 2013. She earned her bachelor degree from UCSB and earned her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011 from Western University of Health Sciences. Before joining Dermatology Associates of Westlake Village, Yasi completed a vigorous Dermatology Physician Assistant Fellowship program in Washington, DC in 2013. As a Dermatology Physician Assistant, she enjoys and is trained in diagnosing and treating many skin conditions including but not limited to acne, warts, scalp conditions, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, various rashes and skin cancers. She also is trained in doing comprehensive skin exams, minor surgical procedures and cosmetic and laser procedures. Yasi is a member of the California Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She regularly attends Physician Assistant meetings to stay current on her medical education and the latest advancements in dermatologic treatments. Yasi was raised right here in Westlake Village where she resides with her husband of 4 years and twin babies, Noah and Vivian. She enjoys doing outdoor activities and traveling
